Makers’ Market at Fény Street Market – see you again on May 24th

Makers’ Market a Fény utcai piacon – május 24-én újra találkozunk

On Sunday, May 24th, we will once again fill the Fény Street Market with life: the next Makers' Market is coming, where nearly 100 Hungarian designers, creators, and small brands will showcase their latest works.

For one day, the market will transform into a special meeting point again, where visitors can find graphics and prints, ceramics, jewelry, fashion and accessory pieces, home decor items, as well as selected gourmet and deli delights. Everything that is handmade, unique, lovable — and behind which lie real stories, creative processes, and personal encounters.

For us, Makers’ Market is always more than just a fair: it’s a day of special encounters, when there’s time to browse, ask questions, chat, get inspired, and discover objects that are not only beautiful but also create a connection between creator and buyer.

TAXITURI is our guest again

On May 24th, TAXITURI, the social enterprise of Adománytaxi, will be with us again.

Adománytaxi has been working for 10 years to deliver items that are no longer needed in Budapest but are still valuable to where they are truly needed: to people and families living in disadvantaged small towns. Since 2015, they have delivered donations from over 5000 households to those in need in 100 settlements, involving approximately 700 volunteers.

One of the important initiatives of the foundation's sustainability mission is the community clothing market, TAXITURI, which has been running since 2017. At the market, the most special, carefully selected pieces from clothing donations received by Adománytaxi find new owners. The TAXITURI selection represents only 1-2 percent of the incoming clothing donations, and the proceeds from sales directly support the foundation's work.

Tea Talk - Conversation & Tea Tasting

Dévai Kartal and Pallagi Luca invite interested guests to a special tea tasting event at Makers' Market. In a casual conversation, you can discover the unique world of oolong teas.

During the event, you will taste three different teas, showcasing their character and diversity through different preparation methods.

Registration is required for participation!

Participation fee: 14,000 Ft

The participation fee includes:

  • participation in the entire event,

  • multiple tastings of three types of oolong tea,

  • insight into the world of teas and their characteristics,

  • demonstration of home and cafe preparation methods,

  • as well as snacks paired with each tea and a small gift at the end of the event.

New Brands - New Creators

It is a great pleasure for us to have the opportunity to introduce you to new creators who are participating in Makers' Market for the first time!

BORISHO

In the work of accessory designer Borbála Vincze, aesthetics, functionality, and innovation meet. Her design philosophy focuses on conscious creation, sustainability, and value creation.

The BORISHO design process is intuitive, where material, form, and technology form an organic whole. Her conceptual pieces often transform into ready-to-wear accessories while maintaining their distinctive, biomorphic forms. Her bags and accessories are characterized by unique technological shaping, innovative material use, and sensitivity to detail.

GRINDESIGN

The dark, detailed visual world of Grindesign is internationally recognized. In his creations, the atmosphere of Renaissance engravings, horror aesthetics, and contemporary graphics meet, whether it's tattoos, illustrations, or objects. For Makers' Market, the brand's creator, Robi Borbás, brings prints and smaller accessories, so you can discover the Grindesign universe live.

ERTZ

ERTZ bags and accessories are made from technical and quality materials, through domestic, artisanal, small-batch production, with a functional design free of frills and a zero-waste approach.

ILKA FÜRTÖS

Ilka Fürtös graduated from MOME with a degree in porcelain design. She primarily focuses on creating minimalist, abstract-inspired porcelain jewelry, but also produces various utilitarian objects in her workshop.

RACKA

At RACKA, bags have been made for almost 10 years from materials that can last just as long and look just as good as the people who carry them. "Elegant, unique, light, and you quickly become one with them." "Travel companion" "Literally for eternity." "A staple!" - say those who use them every day.
