The participants of Makers Market Budapest are designers representing the forefront of contemporary design. Participation in the fair is by invitation only, with the unanimous support of the curatorial team. We focus on quality rather than quantity, and it is important to us that contemporary Hungarian design is present at the event in a wider range and of the highest quality.

The increasingly environmentally conscious approach in the Western world prefers the consumption of unique, sustainable products made from local ingredients and using environmentally friendly production technologies, which represent a decisive step against the culture of overconsumption and throwawayness. In this spirit, the uniqueness and quality of handmade objects, as well as the signature of the creator, endow these pieces with special value, thereby encouraging their owner to cherish them and try to use them for as long as possible.
