We are committed to supporting local creators and design businesses. The uniqueness and quality of handmade objects, the attention to detail in the production process and the artist's signature give these pieces a special value. Our goal is to make these wonderful one-of-a-kind and unrepeatable objects available to a wider audience, thereby supporting and building the community of creators in Budapest!

We, the founders of Makers of Budapest - Károly Boldizsár and Petra Hoffmann - have been friends for a thousand years, Károly is the founder of the Bomo Art paper manufactory , Petra has been working in design communication for more than ten years, and the experience of both of us laid the foundation for the success of the initiative.

As the first stage of our activity, in 2019, the Makers of Budapest our publication introducing Budapest's artisans and design shops and our continuously updated online database based on it.

Our creative fair, the Makers' Market Budapest Starting in November 2021, the most talented designers in Budapest will be welcoming design fans on a monthly basis at Fény Street Market in the summer and MOM Park in the winter.

Launched in 2021 our thematic podcast channel , where we talk to inspiring creators, designers, artists and creative professionals, and our series of conversational events, Makers' Talks, launched in September 2024.
