The negative impact of large-scale industrial production in recent decades has led to a resurgence in the value of handmade objects and crafts that allow us to obtain limited quantities of, and in many cases much better quality, products. Moreover, we are more emotionally attached to them, as they often have a human story attached to them.

About ten years ago, when the old craftsmen were starting to age and the workshops were getting worn out, a young generation appeared in Budapest, who opened their own workshops or founded brands in a slightly more modern guise, often approaching them from the design side, going against the culture of overconsumption. The book Makers Of Budapest wants to celebrate them, in addition to spreading knowledge. Its makers are all creative creators and thinkers.
