Every year, we eagerly await our first outdoor market, which is also a celebration of our return to the Fény Street Market, our favorite venue!
This year's season opening will be absolutely fantastic, as not only will the well-known Makers' Market creators be with us, but we will also host the MOME Fair team, who will showcase the works of the most talented university students, bringing together over 130 creators at the Market on this day!
In addition, TAXITURI, the social enterprise of Adománytaxi (Donation Taxi), will also participate in the market. For 10 years, the foundation has been working to connect surplus goods in Budapest with the needs of people living in disadvantaged small communities. In the capital, they collect unwanted items from homes and deliver them to where they are most needed. Since 2015, they have taken donations from 5,000 households to those in need in 100 communities, with the involvement of approximately 700 volunteers. One of the flagship initiatives of the foundation's sustainability mission is a community clothing market, TAXITURI, running since 2017, where the most unique pieces of clothing donated to Adománytaxi can be purchased, this time on April 26th at the Makers' Market!
Overall, we are preparing for our biggest event ever on the last Sunday of April at the Fény Street Market, where there will be super delicious food, the best coffee – thanks to our beloved regular coffee team, Into – good music, and a fantastic Makers' atmosphere.
As always, there will be new creators, and here's who they are:
ANNA AMÉLIE
ANNA AMÉLIE is where clean lines meet artistic details. It's a lifestyle brand where design is not just an accessory, but an experience – timeless yet always fresh. Bags, accessories, and home products make up its diverse product range, made even more special by exciting collaborations.
EREDICS ZSÓFI
Zsófi Eredics reinterprets the ancient tradition of wet felting in a contemporary form. Her handmade, abstract textile works naturally fit into Scandinavian minimalist or mid-century interiors, where art and craftsmanship are valued. The collection also includes cot mobiles – for Zsófi, it's important that children develop a love for beauty from an early age.
HORA
The HORA design studio was founded in 2020 by Debóra Horák to create unique handmade home furnishings and dining items through a meditative creative process, artfully blending aesthetics and function. Her work is inspired by the organic forms of nature and industrial-brutalist architecture. She handles everything from design to execution, resulting in clean, timeless, and distinctive pieces.
PAST PERFECT
At Past Perfect, they believe that the style of a space is not a static state, but a continuously evolving experience. Their mission is the modern preservation of value: bringing treasures from the past into the present that, with their character and quality, can still dominate a space today. They don't just collect objects; they build an aesthetic bridge between eras. For them, value preservation begins when a decades-old piece of glass or ceramics shines again in a contemporary interior – proving that true design doesn't age, it only ripens.
And as usual, here is the full list of Makers' Market participants for April 26th, but you can also meet 35 MOME creators. You can find more details about them on the MOME Fair platforms.
So we warmly invite you on Sunday, April 26th, to the year's first and the world's largest Makers' Market, at the Fény Street Market!
