KINGA KELEMEN

KELEMEN KINGA

Kinga Kelemen grew up among forests, revels in fairy tales, and travels on the backs of birds.

Her journey as an artist began somewhat similarly, seemingly out of thin air. She studied ecology, and then nature rather demanded drawing from her. She continues to do so: as a freelance illustrator, she paints landscapes and draws fairy tales. For children, for adults. Or simply by instinct, because she has to draw. In addition to book illustration and puppet theatre, she explores external and internal landscapes and introduces younger audiences to the stories of nature (during children's camps and school workshops).

For her, free creation is a vital necessity and a process of self-discovery. And illustration is a shared adventure with the author, during which the writer and the illustrator engage in dialogue.

So that a bite-sized story can continue to tell tales with you on the bites, you will find prints, stickers, and postcards from her at the fairs.
