Makers' Talks - AI - Technology, Creativity, Culture

Makers' Talks - AI - Technológia, Kreativitás, Kultúra

This year's first Makers' Talks discussion will be held on April 22nd at Dugattyús, starting at 6:00 PM.

The topic of the discussion is artificial intelligence, which we will explore with two dear friends, Alexandra Karakas and Ádám Bedzsula.

Szandi is a researcher at the Department of Philosophy and History of Science at BME, focusing on philosophy of science, design theory, and contemporary art issues. She examines the philosophical connections between objects, materiality, and design in today's technological environment. Ádám is an AI motion designer, music video director, and VJ who graduated from MOME's media design program. He uses the latest technologies daily in visual projects, music videos, and live visuals.

Thanks to them, we will gain a theoretical, academic approach and a particularly practical, very current insight into AI technology, and we will ask our guests your questions along with ours!

This will not be a "what is AI?" type of discussion; instead, it will focus on:

  • What does it mean to be creative in the age of AI?
  • Who is the creator if an image or video is made with artificial intelligence?
  • Is AI a tool – or rather a system that also shapes us?
  • How do visual culture and aesthetics change as a result of new technologies? What do we consider valuable if the creator is not a person?
  • What challenges does academic life and university education face in the age of AI?
  • What future and what new challenges await creators?

An evening that raises more questions than it provides ready answers — but that's precisely why it's exciting!

Come, join us and ask our guests the questions that most concern you! We look forward to seeing you!

Admission is free!
