We are two years old!
It's a fantastic feeling that you've been with us for two years as creators and visitors, and that our community is growing every month.
We really love our fairs, we really love meeting you regularly, talking with you, getting inspired by the work of our talented creators, listening to your feedback and trying to maintain what we start and make it even better, and most importantly, to bring the Makers' Market to as many interested people as possible!
The beginning of the year is also about expressing gratitude: we are very grateful to the Marczibányi Square Cultural Center, which hosts our autumn-winter fairs, for their hospitality - to Ági, Barná, Csenge, Edina and Zsófi for their supportive attitude and for your kind cooperation!
We are slowly approaching the spring-summer period again, when we will return to the Fény Street Market and can hold large-scale fairs again! We are grateful to Bebé and Zoli for the support of the Market, its professional and flexible approach, and the direct, friendly atmosphere in which we can work, and to all their lovely colleagues for the great work they do!
We also owe a big thank you to the permanent photographer of the Makers' Market events, Milán Rácmolnár, for his friendship and always wonderful pictures!
This year we will continue the tradition we started last year and start the year by celebrating our birthday: on February 11th, we will celebrate our second birthday at Marczibányi Square, with a workshop and film screening, and a special concert of ours to close the year, following the fair.
PROGRAM:
Makers' Market Design Fair - 10.00 - 17.00 - At our birthday fair you can meet the creators who have been with us the longest, the so-called "core members"
11.00 - 17.00 - A selection of animation, short films and documentaries made at the Fast Forward Program filmmaking camp - The camp brings together young people aged 18-35 interested in the film industry , who work together for ten days on projects they have come up with together . Participants work in small groups , and mentors help with the creative process - and at the screening we will present films completed in just ten days at the 2023 camp!
12.00 - Ceramic Painting Workshop with Parbiart - At the ceramic painting workshop, participants can paint objects made in Parbiart's studio , which will then be fired and glazed within a month and delivered to the participants by mail.
19.00 - Felső Tízezer acoustic concert - Known for their sweeping guitar music, grandiose choruses and lovingly cynical lyrics, Felső Tízezer has been around since 2015 and has released four albums since then. The band, which combines the traditions of powerpop and alternative music, also maintains close ties to the DIY/do-it-yourself movement, which can be seen in their music videos, publications and concerts.
The band released their fourth album, Elkervélethetlen, in 2022. This evening, favorite songs will be performed in acoustic arrangements. Tickets for the concert can be purchased in advance HERE.
