Georgina Seprényi has carved out a unique path in the world of jewelry art. In 2019, she graduated as a jeweler from the Práter Street goldsmith school, then also studied to become an appraiser, and is currently a design culture student. Despite her qualifications, for a long time she did not create wearable pieces, but rather explored the theoretical and organizational aspects of the profession.
In 2021, she launched her Instagram profile called ÉkszerTévé, where she aims to popularize the diversity of jewelry art through entertaining yet informative posts. Her goal is for as many people as possible to discover and fall in love with the world of jewelry, and to understand the ideas behind the artistic creations. During this time, she joined the team of the Leanzer Newcraft Gallery and the Budapest Contemporary Jewelry Week. She started building the Geo Jewelry brand with a 4-year hiatus compared to her studies.
The core message of Geo is overcoming our inhibitions and creative blocks. Her pieces are based on imprecision, imperfection, and irreplicability, and it is this approach that gives them their uniqueness. She shapes her creations not according to the rules of traditional jewelry making, but through creative gestures and unique processes that emphasize the importance of randomness and freedom of expression. For her, imperfection is not a symbol of errors or shortcomings, but a pure beauty that often lies hidden in forms and modes of expression forgotten or overlooked in everyday life.
Her jewelry therefore also carries a kind of invitation: bravely let go of the frantic pursuit of perfection, and celebrate the process that, through mistakes, unpredictability, and spontaneous decisions, can lead to the most beautiful moments.
