Judit Ditta Simon has been drawn to the arts since childhood, acting as a sensitive perceiver, and has been officially creating for over twenty years. She started from art and has not strayed from it.
The DittaFelt brand was founded in 2012, the year she graduated. The brand is based on a fundamental need for art and creation, and the joy of creating. It combines an artistic vision and the traces and spirituality of nature with everyday wear, with the aim of enriching and highlighting personalities through them.
Nature appears on the materials through plants. Ditta wants these clothes not only to flatter the female body but also the soul: she strives to design soulful, eye-pleasing garments.
The collections are based on and originate from two traditional techniques – hand felting and plant dyeing. The foundation for all this is provided by natural, noble materials, which are further enriched in Ditta's workshop. During the dyeing process, she mainly uses plants and flowers from her own dyeing garden, supplemented by a few exotic natural dyes. In doing so, she creates worlds, along paths shaped by imagination and reality.
During the design process, she takes the psychology and mythology of female archetypes as a starting point for inspiration, building her collections on them.
